15/04/2019 - Community Based Support Service for People with Dementia and their Families ref: 500    Recommendations Approved

Effective from: 15/04/2019

Decision:

(1)  That approval be given to re-commission a community based service supporting people with dementia, their families and carers.

 

(2)  That the proposed changes to the scope and specification of the service be agreed to include:-

 

·           Rename the service to "Dementia Support Service"

·           To include provision of support for people that have not yet received a diagnosis of dementia; essentially those with mild cognitive impairment.

 

(3)  That delegated authority be given to the Executive Director of Adult Care and Community Wellbeing, in consultation with the Executive Councillor for Adult Care, Health Services and Children's Services, to determine the final form of the contract, to approve the award of the contract and entering into the contract, and any other legal documentation necessary to give effect to the said contract.
