Crossing urgently required for Station Road near Hykeham station

We the undersigned request that a new crossing is created for Station Road in order to allow the safe crossing of new parents, children, commuters and staff of nearby work places as well as to enforce the 30mph speed limit on this road.

With the building of Phoenix Place estate and the new plans for building more homes alongside the commuters from Hykeham station and staff of Lindam, Rockstar, Fun Farm and other nearby businesses, Station Road no longer feels safe to cross. There are many busy periods where crossing this road is frightening especially with cars having no respect for the speed limit. Parents with babies cross to get to North Hykeham children's centre through St Aiden's Park, children cross to attend Ling Moor and the other schools, to use the buses or to get to the station platforms. Several unfortunate animal deaths have already occurred and there really is no need for any further incidents.
