Saltfleetby, Main Road - Proposed 40mph Speed Limit pdf icon PDF 387 KB

Additional documents:

Minutes:

The Committee considered a report which detailed a request for the 30mph speed limit on Main Road to be reviewed and increased to 40mph. A previous policy limiting all traffic speeds to 30mph outside schools instigated the current speed limit on Main Road. However, the school on Main Road had since closed thus the 30mph speed limit could no longer be justified.

On a motion proposed by Councillor I G Fleetwood and seconded by Councillor T R Ashton, it was:

RESOLVED (unanimous)

That the objections be overruled so that the Order, as advertised, may be introduced.

Horncastle, Spilsby Road, Boston Road & Langton Hill - Proposed 30mph speed limits pdf icon PDF 520 KB

Additional documents:

Minutes:

The Committee considered a report which detailed a request from local residents for the existing 40mph speed limits on Spilsby Road, Boston Road & Langton Hill, Horncastle to be reduced to 30mph. Investigations and a speed survey have indicated that a reduction in the level of limit may be considered a 'Borderline Case', as defined within the Council's Speed Limit Policy. Therefore, the Planning and Regulation Committee could approve a departure from the criteria if they felt it appropriate.

On a motion proposed by Councillor I G Fleetwood and seconded by Councillor P A Skinner, it was:

RESOLVED (unanimous)

That the Committee approved the reduction in speed limit proposed so that the necessary consultation process to bring it into effect may take place.

Metheringham, High Street - Proposed Bus Stop Clearways pdf icon PDF 375 KB

Additional documents:

Minutes:

The Committee considered a report in connection with two objections received in relation to a bus stop clearway at a proposed relocation of a bus stop in Metheringham. The objections, received following consultation, raised concern that the proposed location would result in obstruction to access in and out of private driveways. It was officers’ view however that the buses would stop only briefly at the proposed location so the impact to driveways would be minimal. The relocated clearways would ensure safe and effective access to bus services.

It was clarified that the there was only one bus stop in question, and not an arrangement for parallel stops.

On a motion proposed by Councillor I G Fleetwood and seconded by CouncillorP A Skinner, it was:

RESOLVED (unanimous)

That the objections be overruled so that the order, as advertised, may be introduced.
