GDF at Theddlethorpe
We the undersigned Petition Lincolnshire County Council to withdraw from further engagement with Radioactive Waste Management ((RWM) regarding placing a Geological Disposal Facility (Nuclear Waste Dump) on a site encompassing the former ConocoPhillips site in Theddlethorpe.
It has recently been brought to light that Lincolnshire County
Council have engaged with Radioactive Waste Management regarding
the possible siting of a Geological Disposal Facility for storage
of radioactive high-level nuclear waste on the Lincolnshire coast.
News media and RWM have said that a site encompassing the
ConocoPhillips gas terminal is under consideration. This is already
impacting negatively on residents in the area in terms of mental
health and house sales and as this drags on it can only get
worse.
