Reasons for decision

Appeal against the prioritisation of DMMO Case no. 580 – Well – proposed addition of a byway open to all traffic (“BOAT”) between Low Lane and Public Footpath 79 at St Margaret’s Church

299

The appeal was upheld and would be moved to number 26 on the priority list.

The Committee noted that the blocking of the route had made access to the church yard difficult, which was still in use for funerals, and people visiting the graves of loved ones.

It was also noted that there was significant ill feeling within the community with reports of hostility from the owners of Well Vale Hall when people have tried to access the Church Yard via the claimed route.
