(For information, Natural England (NE) submitted its compendium of reports to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs setting out their proposals for improved access to the coast from Hunstanton to Sutton Bridge. These proposals form part of a programme to establish a continuous walking route around England’s coastline, as set out in the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 (MCA). Any representations in connection with the proposals must be submitted to NE by 20 January 2021. The proposals can be viewed on the attached document from NE))

Demolition of Old Railway Bridges by Highways England

(A verbal report by Chris Padley, a member of the Forum, in connection with the policy of Highways England to demolish all disused railway bridges instead of maintaining them. Members' attention is drawn to the following website - Campaigners battle to save old rail structures (theconstructionindex.co.uk) Chris Padley thinks this is an issue the Forum should all take up even if there are no such bridges in Lincolnshire (He is not aware if there are any of these bridges at the moment although there certainly have been in the past)
